The Head of Business Strategy and Analytics (BS&A) reports to the Sr. Vice President of Hematology Marketing and Operations and plays a critical leadership role on the Commercial team and as a key day-to-day partner with the Marketing, Market Access, and Value, Policy & Advocacy teams. This individual is responsible for ensuring that business strategy and tactics are supported by the right insights, data, and metrics. In addition, this individual will also work on key business planning activities to support company growth and evolution
––Provide leadership and strategic direction for Hematology commercial analytics
––Develop, execute and socialize the Hematology market research plan to provide insight and direction
––Conduct competitive intelligence to inform understanding of relevant markets
––Partner with functional heads to understand their business reporting and analytics/KPI needs
––Support and co-lead monthly business reviews and proactively develop quarter end summaries
––Create sustainable tools and reports to enable business analytic insights for commercial team
––Manage data flows across the commercial data environment including data warehousing
––Lead market research projects to support the brand strategy, including vendor selection and management, design, execution of market research studies
––Expert in forecasting and experienced in developing detailed and accurate forecasts for pre-launch products and on-market pharmaceuticals including gross-to-nets
––Lead collaboration with internal cross functional partners, including finance, marketing, pricing, value & access, to obtain relevant data and analysis for forecast input
––Support the evolving Commercial strategy and innovation by providing strong partnership and expertise.
––Ensure Commercial Analytics has comprehensive knowledge of business strategies for the brand portfolio they are supporting
––Fosters a culture that embraces the strategic use of data into decision making.
––Advise on portfolio strategy and investment by leveraging key analytics based on strategic attractiveness and operational capabilities.

This individual will have the relevant experiences in the job functions described above as well as the requisite expertise in forecasting, analytics, and market research.

Experience and Skills
––12+ years of forecasting, data analytics/market research experience in healthcare, biopharma and/or pharma
––Proven experience in using secondary data (Rx, lab, claims data, payer, etc.) required
––Strong knowledge of healthcare data and advanced data science/quantitative approaches and industry practices
––Experience in working with data reporting tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc. required
––Experience in Marketing Science/Marketing Analytics role highly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
