Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Payroll Manager will oversee all payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This individual will implement payroll processes and procedures to and work to establish payroll entities in new states.
––Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
––Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll updates includingnew hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
––Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
––Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour lawsand best practices.
––Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
––Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, andprocedures.
––Perform other duties as assigned.
– Serve as the disease area expert and providing support to cross functional team members, including onboarding and review of materials
––At least five years of experience in payroll management preferred.
––Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
––Experience migrating to a new payroll structure is a plus.
––Strong knowledge of statutory, compliance, and tax laws in North America.
––Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency and follow through.
––Excellent communication skills.
25% of the time (post-pandemic).
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Human Resources preferable.
