Title: Executive Director, Value Engagement and Policy

Role

Value Engagement and Policy Head monitors and provides expert view on the evolving public policy environment and patient access landscapes to inform TG portfolio, brand and corporate strategy.  He/She will develop the TG global policy strategy and develop policy positions, identify opportunities for engagement, and partner with Advocacy groups and stakeholders to support our pro-patient / pro access policy platform.

Value Engagement and Policy Head leads TG engagement on value including the articulation and dissemination of Our Commitment to Patient Access (www.tgtherapeutics.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Our-Commitment-to-Patient-Access.pdf) with payer, economic, advocacy and value thought-leaders to further TG culture and partnership across the biopharmaceutical ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Value & Stakeholder Engagement

Leads TG engagement on value including the articulation and dissemination of our value pillars and engagement with patient, payer, economic and value thought-leaders and policy makers.

…………… Develop Value Engagement strategy and tool-kit grounded in TG Value Pillars

Leads coordinated stakeholder engagement strategies to support value assessments of TG products (e.g. ICER / HTA)

Identifies innovative payment/access solutions and effectively build collations with patient, provider, payer and policy stakeholders and organizations, to support and be advocates for U2+ and MS access approaches.

Monitors and projects patient access landscapes to shape brand and corporate strategy (where the puck is going)

 

Policy and Government Relations

Provides expert view on the evolving public policy environment and patient access landscapes to inform brand strategies, corporate strategy and long-range planning.

Identifies and executes on TG core policy priorities and policy-maker engagement grounded in our pro-patient / pro-access platform.

……………Leads efforts to articulate and advocate TG perspective on opportunities and challenges in the policy landscape (federal, state & HHS)

……………Lead development and publication of TG policy position statements, comment letters and related tools

Leads CMS strategy for TG portfolio

Builds short and long-term plan for partnerships and represent TG with identified trade associations and other relevant policy stakeholders and groups.

–           Serve as the disease area expert and providing support to cross functional team members, including onboarding and review of materials

Professional Experience/Qualifications

Minimum 12 years professional experience in government, health care policy, policy research, public affairs or related fields with at least 5 years’ experience on value assessment or pricing.

Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders at across the organization

Demonstration of strong strategic thinking skills, as evidenced by the ability to identify alternative scenarios, resulting implications, and development of pragmatic recommendations for direction or action.

In-depth knowledge of global value assessment methodologies (ICER, NICE, IQWiG, etc), drug pricing and reimbursement policies, and the role of value assessment in multiple healthcare systems.

Strong network and track record of external engagement with trade leadership, policymakers, academic institutions, patient organizations or coalitions.

Experience in oncology and/or auto-immune.

Agile and able to adapt to rapidly-changing circumstances.

Shows humility and grit.

Can travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time (post-pandemic).

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; graduate degree preferable in relevant areas such as health policy, public health, health law, or health economics.
