Title: Regional Medical Liaison (RML)

The Regional Medical Liaison will be responsible for educating the community oncology health care team to successfully support the launch of TGTX’s first two commercialized products (umbralisib and ublituximab) in Follicular and Marginal Zone Lymphoma (FL and MZL) as well as Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Furthermore, the RML team will provide field medical support for subsequent hematology/oncology indications and pipeline assets. She/he will be externally focused.
The goals/objectives of the RML team will be to execute the field medical plan and quarterly priorities/initiatives with key community medical customers, including providing on-label peer-to-peer product education as a company speaker, 1:1 on-label medical education interactions with community oncologists and nurses, and accurate and complete responses to unsolicited medical information requests.
The RML will also collaborate appropriately with other TGTX field team members (sales, account executives, etc.) to support on-label product educational needs of customers in the community oncology setting and will collaborate with others within the Medical Affairs and Clinical teams to gather experts’ opinion and feedback on developments in patient care.
Reporting directly to the RML, Nation Lead, this is a critical customer facing field medical position for the company.
––In partnership with the commercial sales organization, provide peer-to-peer educational programs as a company speaker.
––Independently educate community oncology practices with approved proactive and reactive medical content based on a national community oncology “needs assessment”
––Reactively respond independently to community oncology care team unsolicited requests for medical information
––Participate in Local, Regional, National, and International Congresses as well as relevant therapeutic area related webinars
––Based on clinical knowledge and professionalism, be viewed as a scientific peer by all members of the community oncology care team
––Follow all company policies including but not limited to the RML Code of Conduct, Medical Affairs procedures and guidelines, speaker program procedures, and travel and expense policy
––Collaborate compliantly with field-based cross-functional colleagues in field medical, market access, marketing, and sales, to execute the RML field medical plan
––Report medical insights to contribute to the evolving medical plan/strategy
––Continuously train on all relevant TG and competitor data and disease state information even after field deployment
––Participate on all cross-functional workstreams necessitating Field Medical input
––Track and maintain activity in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool including the submission of Unsolicited Off-Label Questions (USOLQ)
––Participate in home office medical special projects aligned to the RML’s career development plan
––A minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a customer-facing field medical role or practicing in a clinical environment
––Experience in oncology/hematology desired
––Existing strong customer relationships with community oncology practices in prioritized accounts and geographies is a plus
––Self-starter with ability to partner and work with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds
––Exceptional interpersonal and communication/presentation skills with proven ability to communicate ideas and clinical data both verbally and written in a credible and appropriate manner in BOTH a live and virtual environment
––Ability to gain consistent access and develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange with the community oncology care team
––Operate and execute in a compliant manner in conjunction with legal guidelines and understand the legal and compliance environment
––Ability to travel including overnight trips based on company and product launch needs (50%-75%)
An advanced scientific degree is required (M.D., Pharm.D., Ph.D., DNP)
